Mac: Desktop Tidy is a tiny menubar utility that keeps you organised by automatically cleaning up your desktop every day. Desktop Tidy moves files from your desktop to a “shadow desktop” so they don’t choke your system
That doesn’t mean the files are gone gone — click the Desktop Tidy icon in the menubar to search and access them. Desktop Tidy optionally filters the files so you can click to see only images or documents. The app will even archive folders older than a few weeks or months for you so you don’t have to lift a finger to stay organised. Desktop Tidy is $5.49 in the Mac App Store and available now.
