Win! Become Lifehacker’s Windows Server 2012 Blogger For Great Prizes And Kudos

Microsoft’s Tech Ed 2012 conference kicks off on the Gold Coast on September 11. Lifehacker will be covering the event in-depth, but we need help from our readers, and we’ve got some great prizes (including ultrabooks and phones) on offer to motivate you, thanks to the Windows Server 2012 team at Microsoft.

We’re looking for three server experts to help us cover all the news surrounding the launch of Windows Server 2012 at Tech Ed 2012.

If you’re already attending Tech Ed, that’s ideal; if not, we can help (you do have to be available for the entire duration of the conference Tuesday to Friday, but it’s a fabulous learning opportunity for anyone working in IT).

Each finalist will win:

• A $1299 Asus Zenbook UX32VD-R3001V to use when writing their daily report from the show. The stylish 13.3-incher packs a Core i5 processor and has two-second resume with auto backup and recovery.

• A Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone (valued at $899) to shoot video and photos at the event

• Flights and accommodation!

Our editorial team will work with the three winners to identify sessions featuring Windows Server 2012 that are worth covering for our readers. Those contributions will be featured on Lifehacker’s Tech Ed Windows Server 2012 Newsroom. That’s a great addition to your resume. You’ll also receive a hands-on walkthrough of Windows Server 2012 with Microsoft’s experts and enjoy an introductory lunch with the team and your fellow bloggers.

The best writer of the three will be chosen as the inaugural Windows Server 2012 blogger for Australia, and will write a series of posts looking at their experience with Windows Server 2012 in the run-up to its official launch in October. To make that task easier:

• The winner will receive an HP ProLiant MicroServer with 8GB RAM and 2x 1-terabyte hard drives (valued at $1539) to test out everything that Windows Server 2012 has to offer.

How to nominate yourself:

Hit the entry form below and tell us about yourself and why you think you’d be a good choice for the task. Again, entry is open to people already attending Tech Ed 2012 and IT experts who are interested in doing so and free to attend the whole event. Entries close next September 4, so get cracking!

Full terms and conditions are here.

Simply enter via the form below and don’t forget to send us a picture of why you deserve to blog for Lifehacker and Microsoft at TechEd.

Make it fun; stage a story — the idea is to get creative! Here are two great examples (click to enlarge):
