Start And End Your Day With These Exercises To Reduce Negative Impacts Of Sitting

By now we’ve hammered into your head that sitting down all day is bad for you, and even provided a number of solutions that involve standing up regularly. While that’s certainly helpful, if you’ve got five minutes in the morning and evening, you can do a series of exercises that’ll reduce the aches and pains of sitting at your desk all day.

In the video above, fitness expert Roger Lawson demonstrates several exercises you can do in the morning and evening to keep your body from aching and feeling stiff. The idea is to cycle through a selection of them, with about 10 repetitions each, until the five minutes are up, incorporating a good amount of variety so you’re not concentrating on a single muscle group. If you’re already exercising, this routine should help give you better form for a safer workout. For more information on the individual exercises, check out the full post on Roger’s site.
