‘Sometimes You Just Have To Jump Out The Window And Grow Wings On The Way Down’

Ray Bradbury, esteemed author and lover of books, passed away today at the age of 91. But his words, in both his stories and interviews with him, continue to inspire, like this quote about taking leaps of faith when it comes to your work or art.

The video above chronicles Bradbury’s career, writing such classics as Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles and Something Wicked This Way Comes (a book I can’t even remember how many times I’ve read).

You can’t watch this video without being inspired to go to the library and read (“teachers are to inspire; libraries are to fulfil you”) or, if you’re a writer, just take that big leap and write — everyday. “Do what you love, and love what you do,” he says at the end.
