Repurpose A Rice Cooker As A Humidifier

Do you have the occasional need for a humidifier but don’t feel like purchasing one? Redditor AgentBeryllium found that using a standard rice cooker filled with water and herbs works just as well.

The idea is that since most rice cookers automatically turn off, you can fill it up with water and then set it and forget it. Filled up, you should get around 30 minutes out of the makeshift humidifier with no risk of a fire. If you’d like to go the aromatherapy route, AgentBeryllium recommends you fill the rice cooker with any herbs, tea, mint or lavender you have around, top it off with water and enjoy the steam.
