We love a good cable management hack here on Lifehacker, and this idea from Reddit user castironfoodie is both simple and inexpensive: screw a few eyehooks into your desk to keep cables from becoming too much of a tangled mess.
The photo above says it all, but Castironfoodie adds these benefits:
Now I can drop the cable behind when I’m done using it and it’s easy to retrieve when I’m back. As a bonus I can keep the power bricks from cluttering up the ground near my feet.
If you don’t want to bother with running the cables into the hooks or screwing things into your desk, a rain gutter catch-all can tidy up those cables too.
