Bake Bread Faster In A Slow Cooker

You know slow cookers (aka crock pots) are great for making stews and soups, but bread? Yup, the versatile cooking appliance makes fresh bread in even less time than it would take in the oven.

Stick in half a kilo or so of bread dough in the cooker and bake for about an hour. If you don’t like your bread crusty, you’re done. Otherwise, to get the nice crust on the top of the loaf, just stick it under the grill for a few minutes.

There’s really nothing like freshly baked bread — especially if you can make it without turning on your oven. I don’t think this beats an actual bread maker for convenience, but if you already have a slow cooker, this makes it more versatile.
