See Which Extensions are Slowing Chrome Down in the Canary Builds
WebNinja discovers a great new feature in early Chrome builds:
I noticed this in Chrome Canary today. Seems Google now also shows you what extensions are loading and maybe slowing your internet experience through it.
Even if you don’t use Canary regularly, downloading this build might be worth it just to see which extensions are slowing down your browser. Once you find the offender, you can disable it and switch back to your normal Chrome builds for day-to-day use.
Mount Your Router to the Wall with Plastic Hooks
Guy shows us how to mount any router to the wall:
Our new Belkin router didn’t come with any wall-mounting hardware, but we have such an old house that moving it to the outside of the office door made a huge difference in the range we would get. So, I cobbled together a few 3M Command hooks and used them to mount the router to the wall. It sticks out a bit, but it’s high enough up that you won’t accidentally hit it with your head. And now we get much better Wi-Fi range in the house!

Make Sunny Side Up Eggs a Little Less Gross
Ass.U.Me finds a way to get rid of the “slime factor” in his morning eggs:
I used to have a problem making sunny side up eggs because the top would never be fully cooked at times, so I would be forced to make them over easy, or overcook the bottom. But after a Youtube video, I found a great tip that I never considered before.
Put a lot of butter into the pan, wait for it to get heated up, but make sure it doesn’t brown. Then, put the egg in. To cook the top of the egg, simply scoop the hot butter in the pan up with a spoon, and pour it over the egg to cook the top. When you’re done cooking, lift the egg up, try and get some of the butter to drain off, and enjoy.
The video also mentioned that you can use oil, but I’ve only tried this with butter (not healthy I know, but hey it tastes good).

Another option, if you don’t want to add fat, is to put a tablespoon or two of water in the pan and cover it (briefly, when the egg is almost done cooking). It prevents that small bit of snotty egg white that’s so unpleasant.
