Colour-Code Cords And Prevent Them From Getting Unplugged With Pencil Grippers

Here’s an easy fix for those gadget cords and plug-in tips that never seem to stay connected: Slide the plugs through a cheap pencil gripper for a tighter connection. You can also use these pencil grippers to colour-code other cords around the house.

Lifehacker reader Michele Parsons uses this clever trick for her car phone charger, since the plug isn’t a tight fit and one end kept coming unplugged.

Using the pencil grippers as cord identifiers is also a handy cable management idea (at least for the cables thin enough to fit through the grippers).

Thanks Michele!
