Break Before Switching Tasks To Stay Focused

Taking breaks is important to help you stay creative and productive without burning out, but most of us don’t have the luxury of having a full break between every single task. Instead, when you switch tasks or to-dos, pause for a minute to take a few deep breaths and reset yourself before you dive back in — it will help you stay focused and energised.

Remembering to take a moment between to-dos can mean the difference between burning out in the middle of the day or being grounded enough to tackle each individual to-do with renewed energy. All it requires is a moment to stop, be mindful of the next thing you have to do, and focus on it. Resist the urge to check your email or find out what your friends are saying on Twitter, and use the moment to refill your water bottle, grab a cup of coffee, get focused, and dive right in.

The blog Zen Inspiration has some more tips for making sure you stay focused as you move among items on your to-do list. Check out the rest at the link below. How do you stay focused without burning yourself out every day? Share your tips in the comments below.
