Repurpose Mason Jars Into Wall Planters

If you have little space for a garden and want to grow some herbs you can inexpensively mount mason jars to a board with pipe clamps. If you already have the mason jars on hand you can easily do this for less than $US10.

Household weblog Not Just a Housewife shares this tip for growing small vegetables in any sunny spot of your house. Go ahead and fill the mason jars with potting soil and seedlings. Screw on the clamps to your board first, attach the board to your wall, and then have someone hold the jars in place while you tighten the clamp. Tightened properly you shouldn’t have to worry about the jars coming loose.
