If you like the look of clean, tidy kitchens but still need a place to tack up shopping lists, recipes, coupons and other notes that accumulate in any kitchen, why not use some of the space on the inside of your kitchen cabinet door to get the job done? Just attach cork panels to the inside of the door to make an impromptu cork board that’s functional and out of the way.

Over at the blog Young House Love, author Sherry explains that this solution keeps the kitchen cabinets from looking messy and disorganised, but her family still has a place for notes and coupons, and especially recipes that they see for inspiration every time they open the cabinet to take out a few ingredients for dinner. You’ll need some cork panels to make this work, but you can snag them from any craft store and then cut them to fit. It’s an “out of sight, out of mind” approach to the mess, but if you need a bulletin board in your kitchen, you could do worse than hiding it away like this. What do you think?
