“Iron” Your Clothes With A Water Spray Bottle

Don’t like the hassle of ironing? Household weblog Re-Nest suggests lightly misting the clothing with water from a spray bottle. A few minutes later the wrinkles will disappear as the garment dries.

Hang the clothing in an open area that will allow the garment to fully dry (your shower curtain rod is ideal for this). Make sure you use the finest possible mist setting on your spray bottle and spray the wrinkle in downward vertical strokes around 30-40cm from the garment.

You can either do this the night before and have completely dry clothing, or do it 15 minutes before you get dressed and put up with slightly damp but non-wrinkled garments. Your choice.

Hot Tip: Wrinkles? Forget the Iron. Use a Spray Bottle. [Re-Nest]

No offense, but the title of the post seems misleading. It sounds like you are asking us not to use a spray bottle when ironing. Only after you read the entire post you understand that is post tells us how a spray bottle can replace the iron. Get what I mean? :)

Or, just hang the item in the bathroom when you have a shower – it does the same thing =)

I haven’t ironed my work shirts for 15 years. They go straight from the washing machine onto a hanger and dry hanging from a clothes airer indors.

Does anyone in Australia have shower curtains in their shower these days?
