Telstra Encore Now Charging Data Per KB


When we recently rounded up how providers count data usage on your mobile phone, Telstra’s Encore mobile plans were one of the less generous options, with data counted in 1024KB blocks (yep, 1MB). That has now changed, with the provider switching to per-KB counting.

That switch certainly makes Encore more appealing from a data consumption perspective. It would be even better if Telstra switched to this model across all of its plans, but consistency in pricing has never really been a priority for the big T.
