Optus Bundling BlackBerry PlayBook With Torch

If you’re a BlackBerry user tempted to upgrade, this new bundle from Optus might appeal: the Torch 9860 with the PlayBook thrown in on a $49 (or greater) monthly plan.

Optus isn’t the first carrier with this kind of deal, as Vodafone has had a similar offering combining the PlayBook with the since the tablet first launched in Australia. Given that the Torch is a newer phone (though this is the version that doesn’t sport a physical keyboard) and Optus is (arguably) a superior network, this looks like a better deal. It runs until the end of January.
