Flipboard Launches iPhone App With ‘Cover Stories’

iOS: Flipboard is one of the most popular news-reading and magazine apps for the iPad. Now, the team behind Flipboard has unveiled a new iPhone app that has all of the good looks of the iPad version and a new “cover stories” section that gets you right to the top stories of the day.

The iPhone version of Flipboard looks a lot like the iPad version and supports all of the same news sources. Like the iPad version, it allows you to add your own Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and 500px streams to pump in a little extra content. The focus when you open the app, however, is the “cover stories” section, which the developers hope is the first place you go to discover new content and the day’s top news stories.

Flipboard for iPhone is available now for free in the iTunes App Store.
