Make Your Garbage Bin Stink Less With Kitty Litter

Kitty litter was designed to take the smell out of cat crap, so it’s no surprise that it’s effective elsewhere. We’ve already mentioned that you can use it to deodorise your shoes, but if you’ve got a smelly garbage bin it can help there, too.

Personal finance blog Wisebread suggests that a base of kitty litter in your bin will absorb the unpleasant scent of your trash. All you need to do is sprinkle a few tablespoons at the bottom and you’ll be good to go. Just remember to toss it out with the garbage each time so you’re not accumulating weeks and months of garbage odours.
