Your goals are something different than your to-do list. They’re what you want to accomplish when you’re not cranking your day-to-day gears. They make you an unabashed dweeb, but alsohappier. Web app Accompl.sh is a great way to lock in your year-long goals and motivate yourself to hit them.
Accompl.sh makes you write down at least 10 goals before it will let you “lock them” for 365 days. Once you’ve “locked” your goal list, it feeds the green-yellow-red progress bar you see upon logging in (and which gets emailed to you, at your discretion). You can share your goal list to Facebook if you’d like, make your goal list public on the web, and connect with friends who also have goals listed at the site, trading encouragements and gently stealing ideas from one another.
Goal tracking isn’t an empty field by any means, but Accompl.sh is a site that looks nice, provides instant, easy-to-grasp tracking, and lets you scale your level of public encouragement or privacy. It’s free to use, with “Plus” points available to add multiple lists and other goodies.
