Use An Iron And Paper Towels To Remove Wax From Rugs And Carpet

If you’re fond of burning candles in your home, you’ve likely spilled melted wax on the carpet more than once. Thankfully, with a paper towel or a rag and an ordinary iron, you can quickly melt and clean up the wax in a matter of moments.

The process is simple: just lay the paper towels down over the melted and hardened wax on the carpet and then turn the iron on. Press it over the paper towels and the wax for a minute or two. The heat from the iron will melt the wax and the paper towels will absorb the melted wax. Just be sure to use a heat setting that won’t singe your carpets and move the paper towels around if one area gets too saturated with wax. When you’re all finished, you’ll never know the wax was there.
