Web/Android: Want to ramp up your address book? Sure you do. Contact management app Xobni was in private beta when we last looked at it, but now the Gmail add-on and Android app are available for all, and now known as Smartr.
The Smartr Gmail add-on crawls through all your emails and creates a complete profile of all of your contacts, then puts them in a handy sidebar. You’ll see a photo, email addresses, history of emails and social updates. Creating new emails is easier too with the add-on, because Smartr starts filling in the contact email address for you as soon as you start typing.
The Android app has similar usefulness and offers more contact details in your phone’s address book. (iPhone users: Don’t worry, an iPhone app is in the works.)
If you’d like to export your contacts to Outlook and BlackBerry or get other features, a Pro account is now discounted at $US7.99/month.
