IKEA Hackers features plans for the affordable setup, which uses plywood and interlocking floor boards on the horizontal surfaces to minimize your risk of splinters. The hardest part of the process will be finding a pallet.

The plans aren’t very detailed, but if you’ve ever swung a hammer you should be able to figure it out. The best part of the desk is the built-in storage space in the middle of the pallet, which would be a perfect hiding place for chargers, folders, and other clutter.
