Dropbox Screen Grabber Automatically Uploads Screenshots, Copies The URL To Your Clipboard

Windows: Dropbox is one of our favourite ways to share files with others and synchronise them between computers. If what you need to share is a screenshot of the active window or your desktop, try the Dropbox Screen Grabber.

As the name implies, this systray utility allows you to automatically take a snapshot of your entire desktop or the active window by pressing a keyboard shortcut. The image is then automatically dropped in your Dropbox public folder, and the URL for the image is copied to your clipboard. All you have to do is paste it into an email, chat, or IM and everyone can see it.

We’ve previously mentioned GrabBox, a similar utility that does the same thing for the Mac, but Dropbox Screen Grabber is only available for Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Have you tried Dropbox Screen Grabber, or do you have another tool you prefer for screenshots? Let us know in the comments.
