Sugru is great for all sorts of DIY repairs, but we thought this one was pretty clever. Just take a good handful of Sugru and cover up any old, rusty piece of hardware to give it a better grip, and make it feel a little less dirty. It works on a lot more than just taps, too — anything that’s gotten old, rusty or sharp can be fixed up with just a bit of the mouldable putty. Hit the link for more clever Sugru uses, including external hard drive protection and flash drive enclosures.

Friday, June 24, 2011 at 8:04 AMGiven the cost of Sugru and the delivery charge to OZ as well, I think using it to make a tap more comfy is a bit of a waste. Plus taps of that nature are made of brass or a similar alloy, so they don’t rust, and if they’re that worn down you should prolly replace it anyway….!!
