CCleaner Clears Crap From Your Mac In One Click

Mac OS X: CCleaner is one of our favourite privacy-support utilities for Windows, and now it’s made its way onto Macs as a free beta download.

As a first beta release, the OS X version isn’t nearly as full-featured as its seasoned Windows counterpart — but it won’t be long before it catches up with the speed that its developers usually tackle things. As far as browsers go, it has the ability to clean caches, histories and cookies in one fell swoop for both Safari and Firefox. For the OS X system, it can clear out the trash, temp folder, recent documents and recent applications listings as well.

CCleaner’s makers, Piriform, say that they plan to flip the Mac version from beta to full release within a couple of months, so we can look forward to added features over time, and more supported browsers as well.
