If you’re plagued with soggy lettuce, money-saving tips blog Cluebert suggests squeezing half a lemon into a bowl of iced water and soaking the soggy lettuce for about an hour. After the hour has passed, just rinse off the lettuce and use it in your next great sandwich or salad.

This seems like quite a bit of work to revive some crappy old lettuce, but if you’re in the mood and don’t want to waste what you’ve got (or don’t have the time to run to the grocery store) it may be just the trick you’re looking for.
