Remember The Milk Finally Comes To The iPad, Adds Gestures And Instant Sync

iOS: After more than a year of development and several false starts, the team behind Remember The Milk has finally unveiled an iPad app. The app was built from the ground up for the iPad, and while it includes core features that current users enjoy, there are a few surprises as well.Remember The Milk is one of our favourite services to help your organise to-dos and get things done, but until recently if you had an iPad, you either had to use the iPhone version on your tablet or use the Web interface. Now there’s a custom version of Remember The Milk for iPad that makes use of the larger display.

The design and layout are inspired by Twitter for iPad, and you can use similar touch gestures to work with the app. For example, pull a task down to reveal the complete button, push it up to postpone, or tap with two fingers to instantly mark it complete. You can just as easily swipe through lists, open and close notes, and switch categories.

Remember The Milk for iPad also has all of the features that iPhone and Android enjoy (note the Android app is only available to Pro users), such as the ability to synchronise with your RTM account on the Web or sort and organise your to-dos by Smart Lists or tags.

The app comes in two flavours: Free and Pro, to match the type of Remember The Milk account you have. The Pro version gives you instant sync, which will immediately upload any changes you make to your RTM account as long as you have connectivity. You’ll never need to use the sync button again. The Pro version also supports push notifications. The free version doesn’t offer push notifications and will only sync with your RTM account once every 24 hours.

Remember The Milk for iPad is free and available now in the iTunes App Store. If you have a Pro account, all of the features will be unlocked when you log in. If you have a free account, a Pro subscription is available as an in-app purchase for $US2.99/month or $US24.99/year.
