Spice Up Your Rooted Android Phone With Over 300 Different Fonts

We love customising our phoneshere at Lifehacker, and if you’re bored of the humdrum font on your Android phone, hacker Fachadick has over 300 fonts that’ll help you brighten it up.If you’ve rooted your phone, you probably know how to flash zip files using ROM Manager or your phone’s recovery mode. That’s all you need to do for these fonts — no extra applications or downloads required beyond the font you want to use. If you don’t feel like going through the trouble of flashing the zips, you could always use previously mentioned Type Fresh, too — though Fachadick’s screenshot-filled database is pretty great for inspiration. Hit the link to check it out.

Note that these should work on almost all Android phones except the Galaxy S (Galaxy S users can check out the related XDA forum thread for fonts that will work with your device). Of course, always make a backup before you go messing with things that require root permissions.
