MobileNotifier is a complete rewrite of the iOS notifications system and it’s pretty amazing. It takes inspiration from Android’s notification system while adding the elegance of iOS, preventing notifications from interrupting you and allowing you to easily respond from a drop-down drawer.
If you’ve been a long-time user of iOS, “finally” might be a word that comes to mind. If you haven’t gotten around to jailbreaking your iOS device, MobileNotifier is your new motivation.
The idea is very simple. You have a drawer that accepts all of your push notifications. When you get one, it alerts you — without interruption — by showing the notification at the top of the screen. You can then respond to the notification or deal with it later. You’ll even get your notifications stacked up on your lock screen.
MobileNotifier is still in beta, so you’re bound to experience a few glitches (though I haven’t yet), but it’s definitely worth a download. To grab it, add the following repository to Cydia:
http://phajas.xen.prgmr.com/repo
Once you do that, you’ll be able to search for and download MobileNotifier from the Cydia Store.
