Gmail Restoring Email To Users Affected By Weekend Wipe-Out

    ha! A tool at work yesterday wiped out 450 mailboxes in one fell swoop.

    Restoring from TAPE backups…. that’s some old-school cool Google :-)

    Of course they say “tape” but that’s just the internal Google codeword for “Amazon S3″ ;-)
