You might win a battle or two with your puny stock NERF gun but if you really want to win the war—and reward your opponent with an eye patch—you’ll need to build a custom NERF gun.
Asciimation, the project blog of one inventive New Zealand tinkerer, shares a build guide for constructing a supercharged NERF gun. It’s not a duct-tape and binder clip project by any means: you’ll need access to a small lathe and a good eye for machine work, but the end result is a pretty sweet homemade NERF gun with some serious kick and a nice straight trajectory.
