Float IKEA Bookcases For Maximum Shelf Space With Zero Footprint

If you’d like some serious shelf space while keeping your floor plan open and easy to clean, this clever floating IKEA bookcase hack puts a designer spin on cheap bookcases.

IKEAHacker reader Tom Suter was inspired by some of the IKEA bookshelf hacks he saw over at IKEAHacker. He bought some heavy duty mounting hardware, sturdy L-brackets, and mounted several Billy bookcases from IKEA elevated off the floor. Now his bookshelves have an airy feel to them and their elevation off the floor makes it easy to clean while giving the illusion of more floor space.

Hit up the link below for more information on his mounting hardware and technique.
