
Christmas is a season for good will, which makes it all too easy to get caught out by a scammer seeking to exploit your festive good cheer. The ACCC has produced a list of consumer scams to keep an eye out for during the Christmas season.
Most of the inclusions on the ACCC list aren’t Christmas-specific — dodgy online providers don’t work to a timetable. One to keep an eye out for are charity scams, which often come in Christmas clothing:
