Add A Brushed Finish To Your iPhone 3G

Lifehacker AU

Sick of fingerprints all over your old iPhone, or sporting a seriously scratched-up model? A DIY brushed finish won’t completely eliminate the fingerprint issue, but it will give your phone a notably different look.

The Base Jewellery Blog includes a step-by-step guide to creating the brushed finish, which requires dismantling the phone and essentially attacking the case with sandpaper. Naturally, that’s not going to go down well with Apple — but if you’re out of warranty, there’s not much to lose.
