Coat-hangers from dry cleaners often include a strip of cardboard to keep trousers in place and minimise creasing. You can get the same effect yourself using old-fashioned cardboard tubes.

The recent (and final) issue of Notebook (which we’ve already referred to once this month) includes this simple hint for getting the pro-coat-hanger effect:
I cut empty clingwrap roles in half lengthways and slip them over cheap wire coat hangers to hang suit trousers on. No more creases!
