Google Instant Rolling Out In Australia

Lifehacker AU

As promised some weeks ago, Google has begun rolling out its Google Instant search-as-you-type option on the google.com.au domain. As with most Google rollouts, it may take a little time to appear on your machine, though there are tricks you can use to speed up the process such as clearing your cookies. When it does appear, make sure you master the Google Instant keyboard shortcuts for maximum effectiveness. [Google Australia Blog]

I’m not sure which domain I’ve been using, but I’ve had it available (and annoying the he’ll out of me!) for the past two weeks…

It takes forever to load, and half the time doesn’t register that you hit enter or click ‘Search’ (to get at the URL).

Latest firefox on Ubunut for me.

I’ve had it for weeks too, definitely on the .au domain. No issues with it though, seems to be working fine and fast. FF on mac.
