Facebook Disconnect Removes Facebook Clutter From Web Pages

Chrome: We’ve shown you how to stop sites from using your Facebook login, but if you’re sick of seeing the Facebook Like button all over the web, Chrome extension Facebook Disconnect will hide it for you.

If you’re not a Facebook user (or even if you’re a mild Facebook user), seeing that “Like this!” button on every ding dong web page you visit can get annoying. If you want to remove Facebook integration from the rest of the web, all you need is this simple Chrome extension. Just install it and browse the web as normal — Facebook will intrude on your life no more. Of course, you can still access the actual Facebook page when you want to. This just removes integration from other web pages.

Note that this only removes actual Facebook integration. If you check out the screenshot above, you’ll notice the tiny Facebook icon on the right is still there — that’s because it’s just a simple link to share the page on Facebook, not a direct integration of Facebook functionality. So this won’t help you forget that Facebook exists, but it’ll sure keep some of the clutter off your web pages.

Facebook Disconnect is a free download for Google Chrome.
