Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro Has Keyboard, Outright Buy Price

The original Xperia X10 is one of the most widely offered Android phones in Australia. Its keyboard-toting sibling won’t appear in Australia until August, but already has one relatively notable feature: an outright buy price of $629.

Given that many iconic Android designs are only being released in Australia on contract plans (yes, I’m particularly thinking of the Nexus One), it’s nice to see that not everything has to be locked to a carrier exclusive. And with my own addiction to keyboard phones, it’ll be an interesting battle between this model and the Optus-only Milestone to see if either can win my affections.

One mark against the Mini Pro? It’s only offering Android 1.6. For the full specs (and a rather more scathing assessment), check out Gizmodo’s overview.
