Personas Interactive Is An Improved Version Of Firefox's Theme Switcher

Firefox: Firefox’s Personas feature is a great way to give your browser a new look, but has some annoying quirks, like theme limits and permissions issues. Free extension Personas Interactive fixes these annoyances, while adding a few new useful preferences.

If you’re a compulsive themer, you probably love Persona’s ability to quick change Personas, as well the ability to preview Personas on your browser before installing. However, Personas only allows you to have eight Personas installed at once, and gives any site permission to install add-ons at the same time it gives permission to preview Personas, making it difficult to preview them on a lot of sites. In addition, you can’t use them with any theme other than the default, and sometimes the whole thing just looks a little awkward on Windows. Free extension Personas Interactive is an updated version of Personas that greatly increases the engine’s flexibility.

With Personas Interactive, you can have as many themes as you want, preview galleries without giving them permission to install add-ons, use it with other Firefox themes and adjust a few miscellaneous settings that were missing before. Personas have a lot more leeway in how they look and are organised, so it’s worth a look if you’re a heavy customiser. Right now there’s only one theme available for download (and, as of right now, you have to download it to install Personas Interactive), but they’ll be rolling out some other ones soon.
