iPhone 4.0 To Integrate Multitasking?

5:30AM March 12, 2010 | Adam Pash

Apple will include much-asked-for application multitasking functionality when they release the iPhone 4.0 update sometime in the next few months, according to all-things-Apple blog AppleInsider.

Multitasking (more specifically, the ability to run third-party applications in the background) is one of those big pieces of functionality that separates the iPhone OS from Android, and while Apple’s sort of worked around this problem with push notifications, there are instances when there’s no substitute for multitasking. Fingers crossed that this one comes true.

    Backgrounder + Multifl0w Prefs FTW
One benefit of jailbreaking. Its a shame you have to go to those lengths to get the functionality you want..
