Today’s featured workspace is notable for its clever repurposing of basic “floating” shelves as monitor stands.
Getting your monitors off the desk is a great way to free up space. Even if you just raise things up a few inches, as both Adam and I have done, you suddenly have tons of room for peripherals.
In today’s featured workspace Lifehacker reader Professor Snoutch used two $US9.99 IKEA Lack shelves to create two floating monitor stands for his respective monitors.
The look is certainly unique and while we might be inclined to use one large floating shelf so we could use the spce in between them we can’t debate that having a separate shelf for each monitor gives the workspace a distinct look.
