Jacquelyn Holt at ZDNet reports that $300,000 will be spent on a trial of adding Wi-Fi to buses for commuters in Launceston. The trial will run for 18 months, and could eventually result in similar services in other parts of the state. Given Tasmania’s somewhat patchy 3G broadband coverage, that’s a very welcome development.
