If you’re running Google Chrome on Linux, switching to the “dev” channel seems like a smarter bet than ever.
The newest release includes support for desktop notifications (as previously suggested), and better integrates with your GTK/GNOME theme by using its text and button selection colours. Plug-ins, too, can now be stashed in a location in your home folder for backup and maintenance.
