Deal-of-the-day site Zazz is running a slightly weird variation on Kris Kringle on the site today: pay $4.99 to send a random item to someone else you don’t know.
You don’t get to pick the item itself (options mentioned include a solar pedometer and a magnetic bracelet), but you can write a message to send to the unknown recipient. If you’ve got spare cash lying around at Christmas, then giving it to charity always seems wise, but there is something weirdly appealing about the idea of sending a gift to someone you don’t know.
