TweetDeck Updates With Support For Lists, LinkedIn And Geolocation

Windows/Mac/Linux: Popular desktop Twitter client TweetDeck just released an update boasting support for a few of Twitter’s new features—including lists, geolocation and retweets—along with support for career-oriented social networking site LinkedIn.

The video above nicely highlights the various updates. The lists, geolocation and retweet support all aim to make the TweetDeck experience gel nicely with the changes Twitter has made to each feature in recent weeks. Lists give you more options for following and organizing Twitter lists, the retweet update helps you understand how tweets are spreading and where they originated, and the geolocation feature can give you a quick view of where someone you’re following is tweeting from if their client supports it.

If you’re not a Twitter user, the new release probably isn’t terribly exciting. On the other hand, TweetDeck is the most popular Twitter client among Lifehacker readers, so if you are a Twitter user, this is certainly an update you’ll want to check out. TweetDeck is a free download, works on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, requires Adobe AIR.
