Conceal Speaker Wires With Wood Trim

Hiding cabling is a perpetual struggle for the home theatre builder. Save yourself the headache of punching holes in the walls or stretching cables with this simple hack.

If you’re not running your speaker wires through the wall — not really an option, anyways, if you’re living in an apartment — then you’ve got to deal with wires hanging down under your speakers. Fortunately speaker wires are small and easily concealed within the channel of pre-channelled wood trim. As seen in the photo above, the speaker wire is tucked neatly within the tiny channel of the trim. While they left the wood unpainted because it matched their speakers, you could easily stain or paint the wood to match your speakers or your walls depending on what look you’re going for.
