People have obviously taken the official ABC iPhone app — it’s been downloaded 290,000 times since it was launched in March. A new update brings the ability to listen live, along with 90-second video news bulletins, weather forecasts and easy sharing buttons for social networks.
The radio feature works across either 3G or Wi-Fi connections, with the latter obviously being a more sensible choice if you’re worried about download limitations. The iPhone app is a free download; the ABC also offers Android, Java and BlackBerry apps for browsing its online content, but none of those currently include the radio feature.
