PhotoMailbox
Email overload aside, everyone needs an actual mailbox. Coming up with something that looks more attractive than the three models in your local hardware store can be challenging, but this photo-covered design is pretty impressive.

This particular example (which I snapped in St Ambroix in France) has printouts of scanned postcards, but you could use pretty much any image you like. The residents weren’t home, so I couldn’t get details on how it had been weatherproofed, but it didn’t seem to involve anything more than good photo paper, weatherproof glue and a layer of lacquer. Usefully, the basic mailbox design includes a lock, which is vital if you want to prevent identity theft.

Any sign writer can do this for you. Just give ‘em the pics & the size of the box.
