Spotify Lets Users Download Playlists For Offline Playback

6:30AM October 2, 2009 | Adam Pash

Good news for Spotify users—that is, most people who don’t live in Australia or the US: the coolest desktop music player we’ve used has added an offline mode that allows users to download music to their hard drive for offline playback.

The catch: It’s only available to premium users. (Premium accounts are 10 Euros per month.) The feature is actually very similar to the offline functionality of Spotify’s iPhone application, except the desktop version allows users a pretty impressive limit of 3,333 offline tracks. Now the lack of an internet connection won’t stand between you and your Spotify tunes.

    So does the iPhone version.
