Mozilla Releasing Unknown App For IPhone
Mozilla CEO John Lilly tells tech blogger Om Malik that the Firefox maker will “release an app to the iPhone App Store in the next few weeks” and that “it’ll surprise people”.
Kevin Tofel guesses it might be a Fennec-type browser, based on screenshots and other evidence, but Malik tends toward an app to implement the synchronising service Weave. Based on what Mozilla Mobile VP Jay Sullivan told us, the latter seems more likely, but it’ll be interested in any case to see what Mozilla app Apple would approve for use on the iPhone, given its policies toward apps that “duplicate features” and “cause confusion”.
