Opera 10 Portable Brings Speedy Browsing To Your Thumb Drive

Windows: Opera 10’s web-caching Turbo feature and Mail client are neat features in the desktop version, but when you’re browsing on slow connections, they’re a lot more handy. Portable Opera 10 packs all that and more onto a USB stick.

If you’re a fan of portable applications, this is a familiar package: a ZIP folder that decompresses into a stand-alone folder. Copy that folder anywhere you want to run Opera and open the OperaUSB executable, and Opera simply starts up and runs without installation. It seems like a full-featured version of the final Opera 10 release, with all the visual tab browsing and notable speed Opera users can brag about. Portable applications are also a great way for the curious to try out an app like Opera without committing to an actual installation.

OperaUSB is a free download that runs on Windows systems only.
